Ross Hogg / 100 in Ottawa

Rogg Hogg graduate 2013 will be showing his film at The Ottawa International Film Festival on the Centenary year of Norman McLaren, born in Stirling 1914, studied at GSA and who formed the Canadian Film Board. All the best with the showing.

Yellow Pencil


Congratulations to Abdi Adam and Fang Zhou who won the coveted Student Yellow Pencil at the annual D&AD Student Awards in London’s Old Spitalfields Market. Abdi and Zhou won in the Animation category for their short film ‘Design Intervention’ (see below), in response to a brief set by the Design Council’s Alliance Against Crime. Their work will be published in the D&AD Student Awards Annual along with their fellow winners.

There are more than 11 Trillion Things to Learn

The Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps in the Netherlands promoted their stamps with this animation from Paul Postma. The theme of the animation is ‘Let Children Learn’ and comes from the foundation’s belief that every child has the right to education. The animation focuses on learning through play to solve problems.
